  33. Try stopping and restarting the spooling system, making sure all jobs
  34. owned by lp are killed after stopping, and before starting:
  35.     /etc/init.d/lp stop
  36.     ps -fu lp
  37.     (kill any remaining lp programs)
  38.     /etc/init.d/lp start
  39.  
  40. That *usually* fixes this kind of problem.
