- | Has anybody else noticed, under 4.0.5, that xterm windows and
- | rlogins seem to just suddenly disconnect for no apparent reason?
- | It always seem to happen when I'm typing really fast.
-
- I haven't seen any followups to this, but it seems worth mentioning that
- I've noticed a similar (though different; related?) problem: Every so
- often, my console window vanishes. I have no .xsession, .sgisession, or
- .chestrc files in my home directory, so I'm getting whatever defaults
- SGI in its infinite wisdom decided one should get. The problem isn't
- connected with an autologout feature, since I'm one of those remaining
- few curmudgeonly neoluddites who prefer using /bin/sh as a login shell.
-
- I keep my console window iconified most of the time. What I generally
- see is that it's there, tucked away next to the toolchest when I leave
- at the end of the day, and in the morning it's gone. Nothing in SYSLOG
- that seems relevant. And it doesn't seem to happen to any window other
- than the console window. Dunno whether having it iconified is relevant.
-
- Anyone else noticed this?
