  19. I haven't seen any followups to this, but it seems worth mentioning that
  20. I've noticed a similar (though different; related?) problem:  Every so
  21. often, my console window vanishes.  I have no .xsession, .sgisession, or
  22. .chestrc files in my home directory, so I'm getting whatever defaults
  23. SGI in its infinite wisdom decided one should get.  The problem isn't
  24. connected with an autologout feature, since I'm one of those remaining
  25. few curmudgeonly neoluddites who prefer using /bin/sh as a login shell.

  27. I keep my console window iconified most of the time.  What I generally
  28. see is that it's there, tucked away next to the toolchest when I leave
  29. at the end of the day, and in the morning it's gone.  Nothing in SYSLOG
  30. that seems relevant.  And it doesn't seem to happen to any window other
  31. than the console window.  Dunno whether having it iconified is relevant.
