  16. the jag(7m) man page sez six is the limit but the jag.h file seems 
  17. to imply eight (if you have dual power channels) - maybe just an 
  18. old manpage from before dual IO3's were released?

  20. are any of the older SGI disk drives capable of fast scsi (underlying
  21. question is if we upgrade to cougar boards will we be able to use
  22. any of our existing devices on them - i think the disks are seagate
  23. 1.3GB, 8mm EXB8500, 4mm Archive/Python, Kennedy 9track)

  25. or do we have to get new devices - would it make no sense to hang
  26. tape devices off of the 10MB boards - the drives aren't capable are they?

  28. what new scsi-2 disks are available from SGI?

  30. general scsi questions: are scsi-2 and fast scsi basically the same thing?

  32. scsi-1 devices can be hung off of scsi-2 controllers (backward but not
  33. forward compatible) i guess not - man this is frustrating.

  35. what does fast-wide give you? and where can i find out more about scsi
  36. without bothering good old dave (i'ld rather not read the IEEE spec or
  37. whatever it is that defines it all if possible)
