- That message indicates that the SLIP driver is dropping bytes that do
- not look like a packet. The message is visible only when
- debugging is turned on, usually by starting /usr/etc/slip with "-d"
- or sometimes with `ifconfig sl0 debug`. The message is almost always
- displayed when the SLIP connection is first established. By itself,
- the message does not indicate that anything is wrong.
