- I am trying to use a (Practical Peripherals 9600 V42/V32) modem
- to establish a slip connection between two SGI machines. I have
- the slip working with an older modem (2400 Racal-Vadic).
-
- I have the latest fix-hayes script from SGI. The connection between
- the two machines is established, the slip starts, the error
- I'm getting is
-
- unix: sl0: dropping babble
-
- I have tried playing with the settings on the modem, turning the
- compression off, etc., but nothing works.
-
- If anyone has any hints or ideas (I've exhausted mine), please
- help
- Thanks crh@matisse.eng.ohio-state.edu
