- 1 - I've got some X programs that I run under 4sight(3.3.2),
- specifically they are POV-Ray and Radiance, both of them attempt
- to make private colormaps so as to use all 256 colors, however,
- when running under 4sight they for some reason cannot. If I load
- up real X-Windows it works fine. Is this a problem with 4sight or
- the other software?
- 2 - I have a 4D/20 that I bought used, I have found that two
- of the plastic SIMM holders are broken, one is totally broken(both
- clips), the other only has one clip off. The SIMMs do not stay in
- very well at all. I am constantly crashing. Anywhere from 1-5 times
- a day, 4sight may freeze or I might get a kernal panic. I taped
- them in securely once and the system stayed up for 4 days straight
- and then the tape came undone and it crashed. Now I can never seem
- to tape it as well and I'm crashing a few times a day again. Does
- anyone have any suggestions on how to make them stay in or solve
- my problem? I don't have enought money to pay for another mother
- board so that's out of the question.
- 3 - I have an HP DeskJet 500, will TeX or any other non-commerical
- program support it in b&w mode?
-
- Thanks in advance for any help.
