  11. I have had a different problem with the top slot of our new R4K's. In this
  12. slot we place an SGI floppy. The floppy seems to have trouble seating or
  13. comes loose sometimes. The result is a PANIC during the power-on
  14. diagnostics. The drive *seems* to be seated properly, but if I reseat it, 
  15. the system still panics.
  16. To fix the problem, after I reseat the floppy drive, and ensure that the
  17. lever is all the way in place, I firmly push the floppy (sometimes with
  18. a slight wiggle). 
  19. This fixes the problem. I was surprised to have this happen on about 1 in
  20. 5 systems shipped to us.
