  10. Some time ago I asked for experience values in using Inventor.

  12. I got some responds and as I stated to make this information
  13. available on the net, here is a short summary of what I got.

  15. It seems that Inventor is not in wide use yet. Most replies told
  16. me about starting experience or a small number of projects done
  17. with Inventor. 
  18. The overall impression seems to be good. I was told about the 
  19. possibilities Inventor offers me, although this knowledge seems
  20. to come more from the manuals than from personal experience. 
  21. I was told there is another SGI product for applications like
  22. we have to do: Performer.
  23. This product is aimed at high end graphic applications (VR etc.).
  24. One negative point I learned about is that Inventor holds its own
  25. graphical scene database. This results in the fact that the 
  26. whole design of a graphical application has to be done with 
  27. Inventor in mind, a later add-on is problematic (if this can 
  28. be seen as a negative point).

  30. All in all I got 4 responds. What I would be interested in 
  31. (as I am a new user of the net): is this the normal number
  32. of responds to this kind of questions?
