  11.     In conjunction with a client, I'm in the process of integrating the
  12. Kerberos authentication protocol into the VAX/VMS operating system.  At this
  13. client site, there are a number of SGI workstations, running IRIX v4.x.  Since
  14. a number of VAX users also have SGIs at their desks as well, we thought it
  15. would be interesting to incorporate Kerberos as well into the SGIs, and thus
  16. offer the ability to eliminate the "multiple-password" game for those users
  17. that wish it.

  19.     Since I am not as familiar with SGI as I am with VMS, would anyone
  20. please comment to me on the idea of incorporating Kerberos into the SGI
  21. workstations?  Are the various deamons customized enough for IRIX as to make
  22. the MIT-supplied versions difficult, if not impossible, to implement?
