- In conjunction with a client, I'm in the process of integrating the
- Kerberos authentication protocol into the VAX/VMS operating system. At this
- client site, there are a number of SGI workstations, running IRIX v4.x. Since
- a number of VAX users also have SGIs at their desks as well, we thought it
- would be interesting to incorporate Kerberos as well into the SGIs, and thus
- offer the ability to eliminate the "multiple-password" game for those users
- that wish it.
-
- Since I am not as familiar with SGI as I am with VMS, would anyone
- please comment to me on the idea of incorporating Kerberos into the SGI
- workstations? Are the various deamons customized enough for IRIX as to make
- the MIT-supplied versions difficult, if not impossible, to implement?
-
- Thanks in advance...
