  20. I don't know how it tries to read the capacity, but as I recall, the
  21. readcapacity command fails on CD-ROM drives when no media is present.
  22.  
  23. Furthermore, the SGI drive defaults to 512 byte logical sectors after
  24. power on or SCSI bus reset, and the NeXT probably won't try to set
  25. the logical size for most apps, so you may have to write a short program
  26. on the NeXT to set the logical block size to 2048.
