- That depends on what is meant by "available (legally)".

- Since there is no reasonable way to keep total strangers from fetching
- those files, anyone who wants can fetch them. There is (or should be)
- nothing that requires an extra-cost lisense in sgi.com:~ftp. For one
- thing, managing the paper work for the lisenses would be impossible.

- About the only restriction that makes sense is that people here would
- be irritated if someone reverse-compiled and ported the stuff to some
- other brand of hardware.

- Of course, Silicon Graphics does not promise that the stuff in sgi:~ftp
- will work, not destroy your disks, not make you lose money, or not
- cause cancer.
