  19. That depends on what is meant by "available (legally)".

  21. Since there is no reasonable way to keep total strangers from fetching
  22. those files, anyone who wants can fetch them.  There is (or should be)
  23. nothing that requires an extra-cost lisense in sgi.com:~ftp.  For one
  24. thing, managing the paper work for the lisenses would be impossible.

  26. About the only restriction that makes sense is that people here would
  27. be irritated if someone reverse-compiled and ported the stuff to some
  28. other brand of hardware.

  30. Of course, Silicon Graphics does not promise that the stuff in sgi:~ftp
  31. will work, not destroy your disks, not make you lose money, or not
  32. cause cancer.
