- I have run into this too, but only after the upgrade to Buddy 2.3. At
- that time Jeff Mattox added the double click entries for "_" and other
- keys. So, I believe you are seeing the effects of the double click.

- WORKAROUND (assisted by Buddy) ---

- Enter one "=" and then use the "Again" key (F2) provided by
- Buddy to enter a string of "=". If you enter more than one
- "=", F2 will also activate the double click function.
