- Hmm, when I talked to EduCALC a couple days ago they said there was
- another setback and it wouldn't actually ship until January. I hope it
- has something like the "Xjack" on the just announced Megahertz PCMCIA
- modems. Instead of having a pigtail with the RJ-11 jack and data
- access arrangement circuitry in a small pod, the DAA is internal and
- the RJ-11 slides out from the side. There's a possibility Megahertz
- might make a special 95 version.
-
- The PalmModem sounds pretty neat, the only problem is that only their
- software will work with it. I hope they have a decent terminal
- emulator. When I talked to them a few months ago they hadn't even
- heard of SLIP but they had heard of UUCP. There were no plans for an
- Int 14 interface and were going to keep the card interface proprietary
- and secret.
