- Hi,
-
- To answer your last question directly, yes, MANY people have seen this EXACT
- same symptom.
-
- Unstable chooser "items (for lack of a better description)" are typically caused
- by routing conflicts. In the NetWare for Macintosh world, this usually means
- that a net number has been duplicated. The net number assigned to the INTERNAL
- AppleTalk net (assigned on LOAD APPLETLK.NLM etc...) should be UNIQUE. No other
- NetWare for Macintosh file server nor any other cable on your internet should
- use the same net number or include that net number in any net range (for
- extended AppleTalk networks).
-
- Bandwidth usage might cause this, but in this case all of the services on this
- net would be slow/unstable. If you print directly to a LaserWriter, do you
- routinely have to re-send the jobs? If so, you may have an over-used net, and
- you should consider reducing the traffic on this net by segmenting the traffic.
- But, this is probably not the case here. It is far more likely that a
- routing conflict is causing this symptom.
-
- I hope this helps. Let me know if I can be of more assistance...
