  11.     I am having a little problem here that I hope that someone out there
  12. can help me solve.  We are running NW 3.11 on our 386DX file server, and have
  13. not had any problems with it.  Where I am running into problems is with our
  14. dedicated DOS print server.  We are currently using PSERVER.EXE v1.23 (or
  15. 1.26 - I can't remember off the top of my head) running on a 286 machine.
  16. The 286 is a no-frills machine (no extra memory, small HDD, etc.).
  17.     What is happening is that print jobs are taking FOREVER to print.
  18. If I go into pconsole and look at the printer status, I can see the % complete
  19. for the current job.  On the printers on this print server, this number
  20. changes very slowly (i.e. 21.3, 21.7, 21.89, etc.  with anywhere from 3 to 5
  21. seconds between changes in the numbers).  This means that it takes about an
  22. hour to print a single page on one of the printers.  This performance is
  23. totally unacceptable, and I really can't figure out what is wrong.  (I have
  24. configured the printers with a 20K buffer and using interrupts.)
  25.     Can anyone out there help me out??  I am in a bind, and with finals
  26. upon us, the students are beating down my door.  Help!  Any information at
  27. all will be GREATLY appreciated.  Thanks!
