- Hi,
-
- This is a known problem and has been resident for quite some time. Unfortunate-
- ly, the only workaround at this point is to view the file/folder names from
- the Macintosh's FINDER. Note that nothing is damaged, and you still get
- accurate path/size/location information for ALL files/folders on the volume.
-
- You might consider putting all of your Macintosh files/folders on one volume, or
- at least in one isolated area in your volume's directory structure. That way,
- you can still use NDIR and FILER to see the directories (they might appear to
- be truncated, or otherwise mangled) but you will get accurate statistics concern
- ing the entities (and that really is the important thing here). Then when you
- are ready to view/manipulate/rename/move folders/files, just do that from
- the Macintosh. You will find the Macintosh's OS (FINDER) is much easier to work
- with when it comes to moving/manipulating volume's directory structures.
