  13.     Yesterday, I upgraded our '040 Turbo from 2.2 to 3.0 using a Mac
  14. CD-ROM and the "automatic" upgrade method.

  16.     Things appeared to work as they should until the very end. Then
  17. the install said it was running a "postprocessing script" and went off
  18. into hyperspace for a couple of hours.

  20.     I had a spinning cursor at this point, so I wasn't able to click
  21. on the "stop" button. When it became clear that this script was going
  22. run until the end of time (or until NeXT delivers my back-ordered
  23. CD-ROM drive -- whichever comes first), I tried killing the process
  24. and finally just rebooted the system.

  26.     It came up in 3.0 without any obvious ill effects. But I am
  27. concerned that the "postprocessing script" was working on something
  28. when I aborted and that there may be things I should take care of.
  29. I'd be prepared to run the whole thing again, but the upgrade app
  30. tells me that it should only be run on 2.x disks.

  32.     Should I be concerned about this? Is there a way to rerun the
  33. upgrade?
