  14. I've come accross an interesting problem....if I alias localhost to my machine name in
  15. netinfo, then BIND nameserver (I run named locally) whinges about looking up the localhost
  16. name.  Some programs and services rely upon being able to resolve localhost to 127.0.0.1
  17. and your IP number to something sensible (well, rely in the sense that an IP number looks
  18. ugly).

  20. However, renderd will not work unless you alias your localhost to your localmachine name,
  21. or viceversa.

  23. Am I the only person to notice this, is there a workaround?  I'd like to render, but
  24. accurate nslookups are more important.
