  10. Ok, I've got the modem talking fine using tip. So I know there's no
  11. major problems :^)

  13. However, when running the uucp chat script it appears that the port
  14. is being run in 7bit even parity mode. In tip I set pa=none (in /etc/remote)
  15. and got a successful login with the other system (SCO 3.2.4 using 8bit getty).

  17. But when uucp does the chat, the SCO box doesn't seem to like the <cr> in
  18. the login. It doesn't seem to accept it. The chat script times out and you
  19. know the rest.

  21. I've seen the same thing on the SCO box before when calling in with something
  22. that was using 7E1 but changing it to 8N1 fixed the problem.

  24. So.... How to I get uucp to use pa=none like tip! and please don't tell me
  25. that I have to change the getty on the SCO box.
