- Ok, I've got the modem talking fine using tip. So I know there's no
- major problems :^)
-
- However, when running the uucp chat script it appears that the port
- is being run in 7bit even parity mode. In tip I set pa=none (in /etc/remote)
- and got a successful login with the other system (SCO 3.2.4 using 8bit getty).
-
- But when uucp does the chat, the SCO box doesn't seem to like the <cr> in
- the login. It doesn't seem to accept it. The chat script times out and you
- know the rest.
-
- I've seen the same thing on the SCO box before when calling in with something
- that was using 7E1 but changing it to 8N1 fixed the problem.
-
- So.... How to I get uucp to use pa=none like tip! and please don't tell me
- that I have to change the getty on the SCO box.
