  29. Can someone authoritatively tell me:
  30. Will I be able to buy a video card that will run NS486 in Color that
  31. plugs into a VESA Local Bus slot?
  32. I am about to buy a 486 machine and this makes a big difference.  I
  33. do not need to buy an EISA machine if I buy a machine with 3 Local
  34. Bus slots: One for an ATI Ultra Pro, one for a 32-bit hard drive
  35. adaptor, and one for a future product (maybe Ethernet). I would
  36. almost accept being told 'We're not sure that it will run with the
  37. ATI Local Bus card, BUT we can tell you that VESA Local Bus is fast
  38. enough and some card will exist that will make it run, like JAWS'.
  39. Anyone want to comment on this plan?

  49. supported.  Hopefully Local Bus IDE controllers will be supported!
