- I just received my 3.0 upgrade. It was booting fine off the external hard
- drive, but I took it back in because the place that did it for me didn't
- include NeXTCD and everything in it. After he put that on, I took it home
- and tried to boot up and now it seems to hang at the point "Checking System
- Files". It just sits there and I can't see any exchange (flashing light)
- with the external drive. I thought maybe it was just going to take a while
- but it stayed that way for over 10 minutes.

- Does anyone know what happened? Did something get overwritten on the hard
- drive? It still has 35MB left free, so I sort of doubt it. Did the guy at
- the store have to do something bizzare to get access to my drive? The SCSI
- address is set to 0 now so that's not the problem ....... I would go talk
- to the store about it, but this is the 5th time I've been back there this
- week to try to get this miserable computer working.

- BTW, I have had the worst service imaginable in my purchase of a NeXT
- Turbo Station. It's almost to the point now that I wish I had gone with
- a less powerful Mac or PC because all of the hassle I've had to go through
- to get the most basic things set up ..... has anyone else out there
- experienced this sort of thing?
