- Well apparently I was right. BackSpace CAN'T work at the login panel mode.
- So...now I am making an official request that the next person who works on
- changing BackSpace try to make it work for the login panel also if
- possible. (Is it possible?)
-
- I got several responses telling me how to make my login screen turn black.
- Thanks for the thought, but the 3.0 "bouncing login panel" beats
- "blackness". Especially now that we know how to add custom tiff files on
- top of the login panel ala' Crazy Greg's House 'o Programmers'
- "SteveJagger".
-
- My point was partly in response to the originator of this thread. Everyone
- responded to him that BackSpace was the solution to his problem. I was
- only trying to point out its limitation to the original poster to avoid
- any confusion. Many people (myself included) think of screensavers in only
- in terms of the login panel, because our machines are publically
- available. In these environments the rule is "When you walk away from the
- machine, LOGOFF STUPID." And then so much for BackSpace. I suggest that in
- the future, when recommending BackSpace as we frequently do on the USENET,
- mention this limitation. It may be important depending on the environment.
