  15. Because I found the fan noise of the NSTC  to be  a minor nuisance, I recently
  16. got  myself  a  13W3-male-to-female  10'  cable  extender  from  InMac's  (Sun
  17. division) for about $140.  This  allows me to also  put my  external harddisks
  18. further away from my work-place, further reducing the noise level I am exposed
  19. to.  Neither the  image on  my monitor,  nor the ADB keyboard  appears to have
  20. been adversely affected.

  22. Although I am not  accepting any responsibility if you  try this, too,  it has
  23. worked for both me and Karl Reuss (thanks Karl for trying this first), despite
  24. NeXT's suggestion that one should not do this.
