- Because I found the fan noise of the NSTC to be a minor nuisance, I recently
- got myself a 13W3-male-to-female 10' cable extender from InMac's (Sun
- division) for about $140. This allows me to also put my external harddisks
- further away from my work-place, further reducing the noise level I am exposed
- to. Neither the image on my monitor, nor the ADB keyboard appears to have
- been adversely affected.
-
- Although I am not accepting any responsibility if you try this, too, it has
- worked for both me and Karl Reuss (thanks Karl for trying this first), despite
- NeXT's suggestion that one should not do this.
