  23. I just took delivery of my Toshiba 1.2GB drive this week.  I'm not using 
  24. it internally, but it has been plug and play externally, so you should
  25. have no trouble except for the heat issue.

  27. Anybody out there got a decent drive benchmark program they could NeXTmail
  28. me?  (I don't have Internet access or I'd peruse the archives.)  I've got
  29. a couple but don't trust the results.  One says the drive can write over
  30. twice as fast as it can read, and the other says it can read over 5 times
  31. as fast as it can write.  I'm not after a "true" benchmark, but something
  32. internally consistent would be nice.  I'd also like to compare various
  33. drives I have access to.  Thanks in advance.
