  10. I hope someone can answer this question.  I didn't find it in the FAQ's or
  11. the Digital Librarian's Q&A NeXTanswers.

  13. When my TurboColor Station boots, the first line of the ROM monitor is:

  15.   CPU MC68040 33MHz, memory 100ns

  17. I assume the 100ns is the memory speed.  Like, no duh..  However, I 
  18. have 4-8M SIMM's installed and they are all 70ns, as printed on the chips.  
  19. Why does my machine think they are 100's?  I've tried swapping them 
  20. around(only 4 banks on this machine).  I've tried zapping the PRAM by 
  21. removing the battery for 20 minutes.  I've looked through all books and 
  22. documentation.  Please help...

  24. Why do I care?  If my machine really thinks they are 100's, I can boost 
  25. my performance quite a bit by fixing this problem.  If there is a problem
  26. with one of the SIMM's or my board, I'd like to know.  I'm still in
  27. waranty.
