  37. Just to clear this up, you plug the CPU card into one of the four slots of the  
  38. motherboard.  You also plug the ND board into one of the four slots of the  
  39. motherboard.  In other words, the motherboard IS the backplane!
  40.  
  41. At least, that's what many hardware engineers will tell you... :-)

  43. Actually, I don't care what board you call "the motherboard"-- just be aware  
  44. that there is a difference in accepted definitions for "motherboard" among  
  45. different people and different professions.
