  18. I had the same problem.  Assuming you have a II, IICX or IIci, try this:

  20. 1.) Load the non-appletalk Imagewriter driver so that it showws up in 
  21. the Chooser.
  22. 2.) Pick the IW in the chooser and click on modem then printer ports icons
  23. a few times
  24. 3.)  Reboot.

  26. Apparently the folks at MAcromedia claim Multifinder and Sys 7 don't reliquish
  27. the serial ports so one needs to reset the EPROM withthis kludge.  Then
  28. it should work ok thereafter.  If you have a 900 or IIfx, there's a serial 
  29. switch Extension you need to use instead.
