- I had the same problem. Assuming you have a II, IICX or IIci, try this:

- 1.) Load the non-appletalk Imagewriter driver so that it showws up in
- the Chooser.
- 2.) Pick the IW in the chooser and click on modem then printer ports icons
- a few times
- 3.) Reboot.

- Apparently the folks at MAcromedia claim Multifinder and Sys 7 don't reliquish
- the serial ports so one needs to reset the EPROM withthis kludge. Then
- it should work ok thereafter. If you have a 900 or IIfx, there's a serial
- switch Extension you need to use instead.
