- Here is a list of responses that were sent in by more than one person.
- I can't vouch for any of this information, so absorb it at your own risk.
-
- 1. There are "lots more" public domain PStype1 than TT fonts available.
- 2. For PostScript printing, PStype1 fonts are more efficient/reliable.
- 3. Some/most service bureaus can't/don't handle TT fonts well/at all.
- 4. ATM will eventually be incorporated into system software anyway.
- 5. Adobe illustrator can't convert TT fonts to outlines (yet).
- 6. On slower Macs on Image-/Style-Writer, ATM is faster than TT.
- 7. TT fonts take about 40% more disk space than PStype1 fonts.
-
- Thanks to all who responded (especially since I was unable to make any

- Chris M. Hanson, Steven H. Lee, William Kucharski, John Elmore,
- John M. Stafford, J. Elmore, J. August, Scott Bayes, Jeff Sullivan,
- Tom Dowdy, and (indirectly) Chris Trimble.
