- Netters,
-
- I have an interesting problem. While playing a game that required
- 256 colors I switched the monitor into 16 greys (yes I know bad move, but I
- was testing it for someone). Well, the program flashed up a dialog that
- said "This program only runs in 256 colors" and the program proceeded to
- crash. However, upon restarting the computer would go into a startup, crash
- , restart loop. I finally started up the computer from a floppy and
- replaced the System and Finder. Now, however, the computer runs correctly
- except that the menu bar is black and white (i.e. no color apple and no
- full color Help and Application icons) also, the folders on the desktop look
- like color folders from System 6.0 (i.e. they are color OUTLINES of folder).
- But, all other icons are color (just not the folders). Any one have any
- suggestions, clues?
-
- Thanks in advance,
-
