  12.     I have an interesting problem.  While playing a game that required
  13. 256 colors I switched the monitor into 16 greys (yes I know bad move, but I
  14. was testing it for someone).  Well, the program flashed up a dialog that
  15. said "This program only runs in 256 colors" and the program proceeded to 
  16. crash.  However, upon restarting the computer would go into a startup, crash
  17. , restart loop.  I finally started up the computer from a floppy and 
  18. replaced the System and Finder.  Now, however, the computer runs correctly
  19. except that the menu bar is black and white (i.e. no color apple and no
  20. full color Help and Application icons) also, the folders on the desktop look
  21. like color folders from System 6.0 (i.e. they are color OUTLINES of folder).
  22. But, all other icons are color (just not the folders).  Any one have any
  23. suggestions, clues?
