-
- You take what Apple says at face value, Werner? You have my sympathy.
-
- Simple incompatibility was the first thing I thought about, but when my
- friend couldn't use 6.0.7 on a PB 100 while others on the net have reported
- success, I thought it logical to ask why.
-
- BTW, I'd love to see a system from Apple which *is* "for all Macs".
- (At least all Macs from the Plus on up; I'm not interested in getting
- a 128K or Fat Mac to run 7.x. :-)
-
- Now the Apple Customer "Assistance" (not!) Center reps are saying
- that System 7.1 is not recommended for the SE/30, II, IIx, or IIcx
- "because MODE32 doesn't work with System 7.1 and there's no way for
- these machines to run in 32-bit mode otherwise."
-
- Now that Apple's charging us for the System software, you'd think
- they'd have enough money to buy a clue.
