- There is a new version, 3.5, that has just been released. I was
- fairly pleased with 3.0, but I had to switch to Gatekeeper because I needed
- the disk space. ANybody got comments on 3.5?

- I use this for performing repairs on the off-chance a virus _does_
- get on my hard drive. I'm satisfied with it. Updates seem to come out
- fairly often (usually whenever a major new virus epidemic occurs)
-
- > Gatekeeper 1.2.6
- I use this to catch viruses and monitor activity. It seems to do
- OK, but there is no available facility for repairing infected files. (The
- maker of Gatekeeper suggests using Gatekeeper and Disinfectant in
- conjunction.)
-
- > Virus Detective 5.0.6
- I used this once, a long time ago; I wasn't impressed. The
- interface wasn't very good. It could have been improved since, though.

- My "official" recommendation: Gatekeeper and Disinfectant. Of course, I
- don't know anything about SAM 3.5.
