- Can someone tell me where to get information on how to use
- Quicktime in a program? I have a few questions and I dont know
- where to look for the answers (maybe one of the Inside Mac
- volumes).
-
- I understand that it is possible to replace the decompression
- routines in Quicktime. Is it, for instance, possible to
- replace it with MPEG or can it not be done at this level. From
- what I have seen using Quicktime on my Mac and MPEG on an IBM
- and my Sparcstation, MPEG wins hands down on quality of
- picture. Is the Quicktime video decompressor DCT-based?
- (probably not considering the multitude of multiplies needed).
-
- Thanks.
