  17. I guess you'd have to talk to the vendors about licensing the algorithms.
  18. In the case of Compact Video, that would be SuperMac. Who knows? There may
  19. already be companies at work on dedicated hardware boards for doing Compact
  20. Video compression.

  27. Side note to your side note: there was a QuickTime codec released earlier this
  28. year from Apple that used the 8*24GC to speed up decompression of Apple-Video-
  29. compressed movies.
