  12. I accidentally erased the root directory on an HFS partition on my hard drive.
  13. The hard drive does not have a Mac driver on it, though I think an empty
  14. Apple_Driver partition exists.

  16. Does anyone know of 1>a utility that will write a driver to an already
  17. formated, partitioned hard drive and/or 2>a utility that will find fully-intact
  18. files on a hard drive with no root directory.

  20. I can do block reads and writes and am comfortable with a block editor, but I
  21. have no knowledge of the Mac file system. A crash course in the Mac file system
  22. is better than nothing if no such utilities exist.

  25. quite backlogged on comp.sys.mac.programmer and read it infrequently.)
