- I print a picture from Adobe Photoshop. It takes a minute or two on my
- ancient Apple LaserWriter Plus.
-
- I convert it to a PICT (8 bit, 16 bit, 32 bit - doesn't matter) and insert
- it into a document in MacWrite II. The page with the PICT can take 30 - 60
- minutes to print, easily. (No, MacWrite II does not recognize EPSF or TIFF
- format files, sigh.)
-
- I even printed the Macwrite page to postscript file, then spooled it to a
- 30 page per minute QMS/Imagen printer with a fast RISC processor. Only
- marginally faster!
-
- What gives? This is wierd.
