- Pearl Lisp was a subset of what eventually became Macintosh Allegro Common
- Lisp, then (with version 2.0) Macintosh Common LISP. Apple _did_ buy out Coral
- Software, has retained their staff, and continues to develop and support MCL. MCL
- 2.0 is available through APDA for $495. This includes a large reference
- manual, a smaller "getting started" tutorial, a copy of CLtL2, and a CD-ROM
- with all sorts of LISP goodies.
-
- You can create standalone (albeit large) applications with MCL - the runtime
- license fee is "nominal" - $10 for an unlimited numberof titles and copies of
- non-commercial applications, $100 for commercial distribution
-
- There is an active mailing list for MCL support: info-mcl@cambridge.apple.com.
- Subscription requests should be sent to info-mcl-request@cambridge.apple.com.
