- Hmm, I'd never ordered from Mac's Place. What's the deal with them??
-
- Bear in mind that the NEW editions of IM are already starting to come out.
- They're organized according to topics (Memory, Files and Processes are the
- 3 already released). You might not want to get the IM 1-6 unless you can
- get them really cheap.

- I'm not sure if anyone suggested this already, but the 2 vol books by Dave
- Mark and someone else (escapes my mind right now), "Mac Programming Primer"
- is a good beginner's guide to programming on the Mac. Vol. 1 has a 2nd edition
-
- There's another book by Dave Mark that comes with a tiny version of Think C,
- with a coupon to upgrade to the real thing. Apparently it's cheaper to do
- it this way than to get the package from MacConnection, or wherever.
- [I have not used this personally, so I don't know the name of the book, etc.]
-
- BTW, the Think Class Library which comes with TC 5.0.x is a quick way to
- jump start application programming. But it still needs some rudimentary
- knowledge of how to program on the mac to utilize it effectively.
-
- Hope this helps,
- t.c.
