- I agree with you, and that was why I wrote the first one of these
- (called oddly enough ShutDownSound INIT) back in 1987-88 right after Apple
- put the needed hooks into the OS.

- Since then, all of the "common" sound extensions (SoundMaster,
- sndControl, etc.) all have a "shutdown sound" option. I suggest you give
- one (or more) of them a look.
