- No offense meant to those at apple, but i haven¬t found that disk
- first aid
- helps much, generally. While i recognize that it is a free product,
- and as
- such cannot hope to compare with commercial products (Disinfectant
- being a
- notable counter-example), I wonder why the previous poster tried
- only DFA and
- not bigger guns.

- won. Or maybe not. I¬m a little fuzzy on my ancient Mac history. I

- get a //e instead of the original Mac, by the way. I¬m rather glad I
- did, in a
- way, since I learned far more about computers and programming that
- way. [But
- I digress...]

- So, I¬m just pointing out that there ARE more powerful utilities
- available,
- like Norton Utilities (which I like). I often skip the DFA step
- entirely.
