  19. It cannot be done (and still be useful). The Classic's rom sits 4 meg.
  20. So if you could add memory, you would need to add some sort of bank switching
  21. hardware to allow it to work.

  23. If you did add the bank switching hardware, with the right drivers you
  24. could use it as a ram disk.

  26. If you were to add a 68030 coprocessor card you might be able to do it,
  27. but  make sure you ask before you buy it. I don't think these are worth
  28. it because a 4/40 LCII is selling for $1000 (new at COMPUSA and several
  29. other places) and an Classic II is about $1100. I expect that it would
  30. not be too hard to sell a used Classic 4/40 for about $600.
