  35. I think what you are getting are really uuencoded file enclosures.  Many of
  36. the Mac email gateways that provide TCP/IP transport gateway-to-gateway using
  37. smtp mail will uuencode attached files for transmission.  The senders expect
  38. that the mail is going to a gateway and then to another Mac.  The gateways
  39. are just another host running an smtp mailer as far as the internet is
  40. concerned.

  42. The only fix I know is to ftp the uudecoded file to a Mac.  (Unless you buy
  43. a Mac and run A/UX like I do).
