  15. The following post only serves to highlight my point, which is that to
  16. say the mac 'supports' 24 bit colour is ambiguous and misleading.

  27. It's software.  It's in the os.  Why not say "All macs support 24 bit
  28. colour images" and instead say "Mac os includes '32 bit color
  29. quickdraw' which lets software which makes standard os graphics calls
  30. display in whatever bit depth it wants, with the os dithering if
  31. necessary."  and then go on to explain the actual hardware issue from
  32. the hardware standpoint?
