- Responding to the question of if any basic Macs support 24-bit color
- (or 32-bit for that matter)
- ... the anwser is a resounding YES!!!
-
- BOTH models of the Quadra line support 24-bit color with their built-in
- displays... on either 14" or 16" inch monitors and 16-bit color on the 21".
-
- As to wether or not MACs support for 24/32-bit color is built in ...
- every try opening a 24-bit TIFF file on a PC with only an 8-bit card
- you can't do it (at least with programs I've used) but you can with any
- MAC beacuse the Color QuickDraw handle the conversion for you...
- THAT's BUILT-IN!!!!
