- I have an Actionwriter 4000. I wish to connect it to a Macintosh.
- The printer has a parallel port; I am aware that I can purchase something
- called a Grappler to allow me to connect the parallel printer to my
- Mac Plus's serial ports. My question is whether the printer will behave
- like an Imagewriter (underline, bold, print Macintosh fonts installed
- in the System Folder). In other words, what software, preferrably
- public domain, can make the printer act like an Imagewriter? I have
- downloaded Chuck's printer drivers from seq.uncwil.edu, but I'm not
- sure they will do the trick. I can acquire a Grappler for $30, but want
- to be sure it will be useful before I purchase it. Thanks in advance
- for any assistance.
- On another note, I have a Hewlett Packard 2603A. This is a daisy wheel
- printer I currently have hooked to my Mac's serial port. I am using
- a driver called Daisy with it. Problem is, no underlining, no bold
- (double strike), and it doesn't work with any software except something
- called Mockwrite, a simple desk-accessory word processor. I would
- like a decent driver for this printer, if such an animal exists.
