- We have an address list in version 1.1 of hypercard that we are trying
- to convert to 2.0. However, it has an error in the middle of the address
- stack (around the M's) and when we try to convert we get
-
- "Unexpected Error 5455"
-
- If we open the stack in 1.1 we can examine the cards from A-L and from Z-N,
- but once we hit the M's it locks up the software.
-
- Can someone help me with this? I beleive there are three ways to proceed:
- 1. try and save the stack from A-L and N-Z and then convert
- 2. try and print out each card and retype the whole thing (I don't want to
- do this if possible)
- 3. maybe try and fix the file somehow?
-
- Since I am a novice at hypercard (not at the Mac however) I'd like to get some
- advice on what I should do that is the fastest fix.
- Also I'd like to find out what error 5455 is -- I don't have it on my list of
- system errors. (54 should be permErr -- writing to a locked file)
-
- Thanks for the help,
- Merry Christmas
- Mark
