- Hmmmmm.... I've run into a wierd one. I have a graphics program that
- uses GWorlds to buffer the screen and then CopyBits to send it
- to the display. The usual stuff. The app works like a charm on a Mac
- IIfx with 20 meg of memory and a Mac IIcx with 8 meg RAM. When I
- try to run it on a local Univeristy Mac LC under 7.0, however, it locks
- up as soon as it tries to write to the windows from the GWorlds.
-
- I think the LC has enough memory. It runs in the same size partitions
- on all machines so it shouldn't be memory. 32 bit mode is turned on
- and all of these machinse run the new ROMs (except the IIcx which
- is running MODE 32) and system 7.0 so 32 bit Quickdraw is built in.
-
- What could the problem be? Are GWorlds incompatible with anything
- LC specific? The machine says "LC" on the front, not "LC II". Darn,
- I didn't think to check "About this Macintosh" for the machine type.
-
- Sigh... did the original LC have problems?
