I posted this about two days ago, and I really need some help.  My IW II has
developed a problem where my print-out looks as though the top pins do not
fire.  The T's, I's, E's, and F's are all missing the top most line (i.e. my
T's look like chopped off I's).  I checked the print head on another IW II and
it worked fine.  My paper thickness lever is properly adjusted, and I pulled
the logic board to check the fuses and they are ok as well.  I purchased
Macintosh Printer Secrets by Larry Pina, but it is not of much help.  The book
states "If the printer has passed the following self tests, then the problem
might be.....).  THe short coming of the book, is that it does not tell you
what to do if the self-Test prints ok, but deletes the top line.
