- And further more, I think if Apple would change their current Paradigm in
- marketing, they could radically change the PC/Workstation market place.
- Imagine this, PowerBooks at about $1k based on current 68030 technology.
- And serious desktop machines (not the new ones, i.e. IIvx), all 68040
- based for $2k. Everybody is tired of the Intel based PCs and
- the time has come to blow away the competition. If Apple geared up for
- serious production, they could even bring the workstation market down
- to something affordable by the masses. The Apple MacIntosh could have
- been the standard in the early 80's if Apple hadn't been so greedy. A
- second chance in the computer business is un-heard of (ask DEC). Come
- on Apple, go for it.
