- Well, I've had my Duo 230 and a DuoDock for two days now, and I am really
- quite impressed. I have decided that with System 7, 4 megs isn't enough and
- that I would really like to get the co-processor and VRAM upgrades, but I am
- still amazed at the portability and speed of the system. I would also recommend
- the Performa Plus display to anyone looking to save some money. I've used an
- Apple 13' RGB at work for about 2 years now, and I think that the Performa Plus
- is not really to far behind (but, stay away from the regular performa display...
- yeck....you can barely read 9 point text on it...)
-
- The question I have is about the internal Duo drive (an 80 meg). I've noticed
- that every so often it makes a little thunking sound (the closest thing I have
- heard to it before is the sound a 44 meg Syquest makes when it is winding down,
- right before the lights go off and you can eject the cartridge). I've made
- sure that sleep and the screen diming are off, and it continues to happen
- even when docked...anyway know if this might be a problem about to surface
- or if it is standard on these small drives.....?
-
- Thanks....
