- That's funny, we have a seventy meg ESDI drive that also has one of those
- conversion cards to SCSI. It originally came with an external DB-50
- connector, but this one had three rows (like the High-Density DB-15s). IJ
- replaced the connectors with the Centronics 50, and let her rip.
- Unfortunately, it would power up, then shut itself down (the disk would stop
- spinning, but the power sounded like it was on). I opened it up, and saw that
- it had an Adaptec adapter board. Thke only reasonable suggestion that I have
- heard is that perhaps the DB-50 I took out had a pin devoted to powering up
- the drive... I am still waiting for suggestions, hope this helps...
